While most Eee PCs are too new to need a replacement battery, there is no such thing as being too prepared.  After scouring the internet it appears the best deal you’re going to get is $59.99.
It appears to be an aftermarket, but it provides a steep discoutnt to the original OEM battery 90-OA001B1100.

As more time goes by, what is being said about Windows 7 keeps getting better and better. First, it came out that all you’ll need is 256MB of RAM and a 1Ghz processor in order for it to boot up.
Now it comes out that the new Windows operating system will allow boot time to be cut dramatically as well as extending battery life. If things keep getting better, Vista would have been worth it to get to this product.

If you want to take a look at what a netbook should look like, take a gander at the VIA Openbook.  The beauty of it is that you’re able to add modules to allow for unlimited possibilities for connectivity.  You’d be able to buy a card for Wi-fi and swap it out for EV-DO and then swap it out again for WiMax.

Digitimes is reporting that Nvidia and VIA were planning on working together to create a platform for netbooks and put the partnership on hold.  Intel is the compelling force behind netbooks with VIA hoping to get the C7m processors in the mix.  This is a blow to customers who will be at the mercy of Intel in the netbooks category.
AMD said that they won’t be providing a separate chip for netbooks.  They have their Geode processor which is being used in the OLPC, but that processor only runs at 500Mhz currently.
