4G mobile internet broadband hasn’t been figured out but Samsung is making sure to take sides. At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Samsung showed off a netbook with a built-in LTE modem. They showed off some of their previously released models just with the LTE upgrade.
With Verizon and other service providers preparing to launch with LTE service by the end of 2010 and beginning of 2011, Samsung will be poised to take advantage of whatever new services get offered.

I’m not ashamed to say that I’m biased. When I see a netbook and it has an Asus label on it, my expectation increase compared to other netbooks. They seem to be dropping new models every week and are excitingly received by most of the websites I read which cover netbooks. All of that doesn’t matter to Samsung. The suppliers which help turn Samsung netbooks into computers from a jumble of parts, thinks they’ll be able to ship more netbooks than Asus and Samsung must be pretty excited about that.

The Samsung Go (formerly called the N310) is a different take on the traditional netbook. It stands out visually with it’s rubberized look and feel. At just under $449 with free shipping from PC Rush, it isn’t the cheapest of the 10 inch netbooks available on the market but it’s look, feel, and long lasting battery make it at least worth considering as an option for someone in the market.

Samsung N120 Netbook

The Washington Post (WaPo) had a chance to take a look at the Samusng N120 netbook, the next iteration of the widely lusted after N110. Overall they had a lot of great things to say. They summarize it nicely:
Overall the N120 has nice fit and finish, sporting trim lines and a logical layout that’s very similar to the N110’s. Even with a slightly larger chassis, it doesn’t have much room for a lot of extras. Still, the external ports–VGA-out, three USB ports, and microphone and headphone jacks–give you ...

The Samsung NC10 netbook has been making waves all over the world and especially in Europe. The 10.2″ netbook is available in both black and white (pictured below).

In either color, you’re going to get phenomenal battery life with some claims of up to 8 hours with the six cell battery it comes with.

By using Google Insight for Search, you’ll see that searches for the Samsung netbook surged in September 2008. Not only have searches surged, but they’re up in some pretty interesting places. Number 1 is Hong Kong but after that ...

LaptopMag got their hands on a Samsung NC10. After testing the battery, they found that the battery lasts more than 5 hours which is unheard of with almost any other netbook.
By making some subtle changes (i.e using a state-of-the-art SSD drive) they were able to almost squeeze 8 hours from the battery.
Samsung appears to be serious about making big waves in the US PC market. It’ll be interesting to see what other goodies Samsung has waiting.
