Intel is rumored to be launching their N470 processor (the faster version of the N450 Pine Trail processor).
Asus is rumored to be unveiling a line of high end netbooks wrapped up in metal.
Acer has already announced their 532g with Nvidia’s ION 2 graphics.

The Asus 1201T isn’t availabe in the US at the time of this article being written. In fact, it’s becoming news that the same 1201T is now available in Germany for 399 Euros. I don’t have any sources or leaked documents but it seems likely that we’ll see the 1201T show up stateside in February for $429.
I would love to think that this netbook is going to come out for under $400 but AMD can’t let that happen. People already think their processors are cheap, they can’t back that up ...

I wonder if Dell heard it when Google CEO Eric Schmidt was discussing the prospect of Android on netbooks. While he didn’t have any specific announcements for netbooks, he did spend time discussing the concept that they’re perfect for leveraging the cloud.
From his standpoint it makes sense. While it may not be possible to get netbooks and Android to work out the right way he does have a money printing machine with Adwords. This platform works well with desktops using Windows and a browser. If this installed based grows and ...
