After doing my review of the eM250 netbook, I wanted to think even broader about what people may be interested in. The first thing which came to mind were larger capacity batteries.
With a 3 cell battery only being able to power the eM250 for only a few hours it makes sense to consider a way to keep your netbook running longer. The eM250 and the D250 use the same batteries which is the basis for these recommendation.

Samsung has been keep themselves very busy. They are on the verge of bringing new DDR3 chips to the market just in time for Intel’s launch of N455 and N475 processor chips.
Their new memory chips will be smaller as Samsung goes from a 50nm process to a 30nm process. These chips will consumer a mere 3W of energy per hour which is 30% less than current chips.
Since these chips are smaller Samsung will be able to make more of them at once which is key to them increasing their bottom ...

If you need to replace something on your Asus Eee PC besides the keyboard, battery or charger you may be in danger. Asus doesn’t sell anything other than these parts to people in their eStore. This means that you have to send in your netbook and pay whatever they charge for the repairs.
The alternative would be to buy a spare netbook so when yours stops working you can use the spare for parts. For most people this is an impossible alternative. The other option is to order your parts from ...

Toshiba, in cooperation with the Keio University in Japan, has found a way to create a technology which will allow Solid State Drives (SSDs) up to 1TB in size. This would be a dramatic leap in terms of storage capacity since SSD are currently only available up to 64 or 128GB configurations.

The real key in this innovation is that while 1TB is a huge amount of storage Toshiba will be able to build them smaller than current 1.8″ hard drives found in devices like Apple iPods. They’ll be able to ...
