As the internet became full of the buzz that Dell would no longer be making or selling their Mini 9 many people wondered why.  It was heralded for being great at being hacked and turned into a hackintosh, it fit nicely in the lineup of other Mini netbooks from Dell – it just didn’t make sense.  Then it hit me, it must have to do with money!
Specifically the cost of compenents like screen, and memory must have made the Mini 9 unprofitable to keep making.  Oftertimes suppliers give the best …

Aww…poor Dell. I’m sure they only meant good and only wanted to follow up in the tradition of products and brands geared towards women. You only have to walk around an electronics store to find a new selection of pink “female-centric” gear.
Now if you search for Della, you’re brought to a page which looks just like the original page but instead it’s geared towards different lifestyles without calling women out specifically.
Overall, it’s a good move. No one understood what the difference was. If they provided different software or options to …

Fire up your credit cards.  The Mini 10v is now available.  This is great since it’s a 10 inch netbook for $299.
For that price you’re going to get a 1.6Ghz N270 Atom processor, 120GB hard drive, and a 3 cell battery.  Regardless for the price and considering what else is available out there, it seems like a great deal compared to the other netbooks in the market.
Don’t get me wrong, I still love my 1000HE (reviewed here) but if you’re looking for value the Dell Mini 10v deserves your attention.

To help sell computers, netbooks, and other products to women, Dell is introducing Della.  By allowing women to have conversations about netbooks, they allow them to get closer to making a purchasing decision and have them ultimately choose Dell.
Dell Mini 10 is currently being featured in the new section of the site.

There is a lot of buzz online today about Dell dropping the price on their 10 inch Mini 10 to $299.  While this may sound like a great deal something about this just sounds a little off.  The deal is available yet, but one of the things I’d be on the lookout for are any changes to the warranty or to any of the other “extras” Dell usually gives out which may be removed.
Dell is announcing their earning is three weeks and this model showing up will definitely help them …

I get it Dell.  I completely get it.  You want to keep you options open, you don’t want to get too tied down when there are so many options out there.
It’s hard to tell how an Android netbook would work.  Would it have multitouch? Would there be different apps for netbooks than there are for phones like the G1?  The possibilities are endless.
When the iPhone came out people weren’t sure if OS X on a phone would be sluggish, but after selling millions of phone any doubters have their answer.  …

Have you ever had someone set you up on a date that you really didn’t want to go on?  It usually isn’t any fun and leaves you wondering how you’ll ever be able to get that time back.  Wall Street is trying to do something similar between Dell and Acer.
Over the last few years Dell has been going downhill.  They used to be a Wall Street darling wowing investors with their ability to squeeze profits and ship their computers all over the world.  Once HP and Compaq figured things out …
