Q. When did the Acer Aspire 1410 first come out?
A. According to reviews online and the Amazon.com product page, the 1410 first started selling in late August. Some websites list it selling from August 23rd, some list it selling from August 20th.
Q. Is the Acer Aspire 1410 a laptop or netbook?
A. Both. It’s processor, operating system, and other specs make it a notebook. When you look at it’s size and weight it’s more comparable to a netbook. Many sites have called the 1410 a “notebook in a netbook’s body.”
Q. Can I buy a replacement battery for the 1410? How much is it?
A. Acer is a big brand and they definitely have replacement batteries available for the 1410. The best price I was able to find for a replacement battery is $41 from Amazon.com.
Q. What kind of specs does the Acer Aspire 1410 come with?
A. Firstly it is available in three colors: black, blue and red. Secondly there are some specs which are constant no matter which model you buy of the 1410 while there are some which may different. All 1410 models from Acer come with Windows Vista, an 11.6″ screen, 6 cell battery, 2GB of RAM, 250GB hard drive, Wi-fi, built in webcam, 3 USB 2.0 ports, 5-in-1 multicard reader, and HDMI output. Q. Does the Acer Aspire 1410 come with Bluetooth?
A. No, but you wouldn’t know that by looking at it. It actually has an LED indicator for bluetooth but doesn’t actually have the hardware. If you want bluetooth on your 1410, you’ll have to open it up and make space or buy an mini usb bluetooth dongle. Those can usually be purchased from online stores for under $20.
Q. What’s the resolution of the Acer Aspire 1410’s 11.6″ screen?
A. The screen has a resolution of 1366 x 768. This will allow you to watch 720p movies on your 1410 without any problems but you’d need to connect to an HDTV via HDMI if you want to view content in 1080p.
