Students in Malaysia were given a treat in the form of netbooks. The netbooks, which are equipped with free broadband internet service were provided in a partnership between a wireless carrier and a Malaysian government body.
The netbooks were given to students with a financial need which is a firm departure from what happens in the United States where only students in privileged school districts are given computer to use for school work.
