Where To Find The Dell Mini 10v Netbook In Stock

Dell is not going to be selling the Mini 10v anymore (at least not in it’s previous form). This is bad news to a lot of people in the hackintosh community who pride themselves on taking regular PC netbooks and putting Apple OS X on them. The Mini 10v has been called one of the easiest computers to turn into a hackingtosh. Dell is usually known for using hardware components from large manufacturers which makes finding drivers very easy. Now that Apple computers are more PC than ever it stands to reason that changing over requires little more than just installing the software and running the setup.
With Dell discontinuing the model, the big question is what now?
Don’t despair. It turns out that there are still online stores which carry the Mini 10v netbook. First is TigerDirect. They have best price coming in at $259. At this price you’ll get a 10v with a white and lime green lid. If you like to walk on the wildside you won’t mind but I can understand if this isn’t suited for everyone’s taste.
Other specs include:
- N270 1.6GHz Atom processor
- 160GB hard drive
- 1GB of memory
- Windows XP
- 3 cell battery
- Built in webcam
- Wifi
If that doesn’t suit your taste you can get a Mini 10v from Amazon with a black lid.
If you decide that you want to try your luck at installing OS X, you can find a super easy and thorough guide at Gizmodo.com.
