First, there was Pine Trail, which was announced in January 2010. The successor to Intel’s N450, N470 processor is Cedar Trail. It won’t be coming out until 2011 and some new developments have been discovered.
The new Cedar Trail processor will have support for Windows 7, and Intel’s own Moblin/Meego linux operating system.
It appears that the new netbook processor will also include support for Google’s Chrome OS. This is new as no devices in production using the operating system but this points to Intel anticipating a lot of Chrome OS netbooks and slates coming out in the next 12 to 18 months.
