Acer 532G, Asus 1201PN Netbooks Get Priced

According to Blogeee.net, Optimus 2 netbooks from Acer and Asus have been priced. The Acer Aspire One 532g and Asus 1201PN will be selling for $369 Euros and $499 Euros respectively. These prices should translate roughly into what they will sell for in US dollars once they come this side of the pond.
With the 1201PN priced at $499, this is even more evidence that it will be replacing the 1201N once it comes out. The only other option would be for the 1201N to get a price cut to $449 where customers would chose an ION 1 configuration or pay a premium for an ION 2 implementation. This isn’t something Asus has done in the past and it’s hard to believe that will pick this model to start.
The other interesting thing going on here is that the 532g will be fighting head to head with the 1005PR and appear to already have a leg up. The 1005PR will be selling for $399 and if the 532g starts selling for $369 in the US many people may opt for more advanced graphics in lieu of the addition of a Broadcom HD decoder.
It may be another month or two before all of these netbooks are available but things are starting to heat up already.
