Amazon is a bit of a disappointment.  While they allow people to order their own EC14D07u they aren’t actually shipping any for the next “2 to 6 weeks.”  That may not be good enough for most people which is why B&H makes for a great second option.

They not only have the EC14D07u in stock, but they are offering free shipping too.  No discount on the price, so they are selling it for $629 too.

A part of me is tempted to order one of these just to try it out. Another part of me wants to keep this as far away as possible or I might end up keeping it. Acer, parent company of Gateway, is coming out with a wide varitey of netbooks to meet the need of users. It will be interesting to see how this Gateway netbook fills a much needed void.
