For some reason I have NEVER been able to get the ASUS Bios updater to update from anything but a downloaded file, first on 2 computers I built on ASUS MB's and now on my Netbook. No big deal really, it's still far easier than trying to make a bootable USB stick. Just ran the update, everything is running fine.
