Samsung has been keep themselves very busy.  They are on the verge of bringing new DDR3 chips to the market just in time for Intel’s launch of N455 and N475 processor chips.

Their new memory chips will be smaller as Samsung goes from a 50nm process to a 30nm process.  These chips will consumer a mere 3W of energy per hour which is 30% less than current chips.

Since these chips are smaller Samsung will be able to make more of them at once which is key to them increasing their bottom line.  No word on pricing for this memory but they should hit the market in the second half of 2010.
