[Update - It has been confirmed that the Apple iPad will be available for pre-order on March 12, 2010 and start shipping in early April]

It’s true that they say that you can’t believe everything you read (especially online) but the buzz going around is that if you’re looking to get your hands on an Apple iPad you’ll be able to do so very soon.

According to App Advice:

According to a reliable source of ours familiar with the matter, Apple will be starting the presale of the iPad as soon as February 25th.

Presale will be US only, and should be limited to the Wi-Fi version for now. If Apple holds to the announced schedule, you should then receive your iPad within approximately 30 days.

Paying $500 for this still doesn’t sound like a great idea to me but I realize that some people can’t wait.
