It’s January 2010 and based on models which have been announced it’s safe to say that 11.6″ netbooks are dead. They have been replaced by larger 12.1″ models.
When Windows XP and Vista were the only show in town having the limitation on screen size made sense. With Windows 7 out those restrictions have been lifted and 12 inch netbooks just make more sense.
It seems like netbooks this size have only been available for a year but that just means that people who don’t mind losing 6 inches will be able to save big. You’re able to pick up 11.6″ netbooks for under $300 at several stores on the web.
After using my 1000HE, I’m beginning to think that a larger screen would be better for me..and my eyes.
