While the internet is ablaze with their infatuation with the Asus 1201N, it looks like people are running into problems too. There are two memory slots in the 1201N and there is supposed to be a 8GB maximum of memory which would be achieved by having two 4GB memory sticks installed. It turns out that when people try to do this costly upgrade the netbook isn’t seeing all 8GB. Instead it’s only seeing 2GB.
Some people are seeing success by upgrading to 4GB (2 x 2GB memory sticks). In order for them to get the benefit of the 4GB, you have to disable the BIOS boost function in the BIOS.
