eMachines EM250-1162 Review [Video]

[Update: The EM250 is currently available from Best Buy for $249]

The eMachines EM250 became really popular after Christmas 2009 once Walmart announced that it would be selling it for $228.  Since then, Walmart no longer sells it but they are available for $279.  At $279, there are a lot of other options out there (like the Acer Aspire One 532h for $299) for you to consider but some people who have bought one have taken the time to review it.

Below is a review from YouTube:

I got my m250 $228 special for valentines day and i love my wife for getting such an awesome gift. This little netbook runs smooth and fast. It cold boots and logs into gmail faster than my dell laptop can open Firefox while already up and running. Wish the touchpad was a little bigger. Only complaint really and thats because im a full grown man with large hands. Petite hands and teens will find it a perfect fit. Highly reccomend it!!!

emachines $228 netbook is a piece of junk. Purchased ours 1/4/10, have to take 6 times to boot, hard drive clicks, Walmart will not take back, emachines customer service horrible, cannot talk to live person on phone, cannot get reliable help online--took me 3 tries to get a web link to scan my hard drive. I am typing this note on my macbook, which has had no problems and we have had this nearly 2 years. Don't purchase emachines.
