CES 2010 Netbook Computer Predictions
With CES 2010 taking place in early January, I wanted to take a shot and calling what to expect and what will innovations in netbooks will be demonstrated.
Pine Trail netbooks – they’ve already been announced but it only makes sense that they get pushed out to the rest of the world. Expect to see them in a variety of colors with lots of focus put on their lower prices and increased battery life.
Multi-touch screen netbooks – there have been lots of talk about computers with multi touch screens. This kind of innovation looks prime for netbooks given their already small size and processing power.
ARM processor based netbooks – ARM processors which are currently found in cell phones are looking to get pushed into netbooks. There is no decision if Microsoft will make a Windows version that’s compatible but either way there are a lot of other OSes which will run without a problem.
Next generation graphics – expect new developments and demonstrations from Intel, VIA, ATI, and Nvidia. Netbooks are going to get a lot of attention since they are the only sector of the portable computer category which is actually growing.
What else are you hoping gets announced? Let me know in the comments!
