The Asus 1201N has been anticipated in the US for several months.  Back in September Liliputing reported seeing it show up at a store in China.  Now the 1201N is heading to the states and a lot of people still have questions so I wanted to take a moment to clear the air.

1) What specs will it have?

The 1201N will have a 12″ screen with a resolution of 1,388 x 768; 1 GB of RAM, 250GB hard drive, Wifi, webcam and 6 cell battery

2) How much will it cost?

It seems to be a ballpark estimate, but the 1201N should retail for $449.99

3) When will it be available?

No clue.  A good guess would be mid-December with it showing up on shelves just in time for Christmas

4) What else?

No one seems to be discussing the premium being charged for ION based netbooks over regular Atom netbooks.  The 1201HA is retailing for $329 and if the 1201N ends up retailing for $449 shows that that over $100 was added to the price for the ability to stream Hulu and YouTube.
