HP Mini 311 Series Now Available From $399

The HP Mini 311 was supposed to come with Windows 7 in October, but it’s late September and it’s now available.  When compared to other 11.6″ netbooks this is actually a great value.  First of all, you’re going to get a great screen which is not only LED backlit but also has a resolution of 1368 x 768.  It has a 1.6Ghz Atom processor, 160GB hard drive, and 1 GB of DDR3 memory (versus DDR2 in other netbooks)

The real claim to fame is the Nvidia ION chipset which pair an Nvidia GeForce 9400 M video card with a standard Intel Atom chip.  This will help you watch, encode, and transcode HD video which is something almost no other netbooks can claim.

Even better, the Mini 311 is capable of handling a 12 cell battery (which HP is currently selling for $49).
