Save Big On The Asus Eee PC 1005HA Netbook

Stores all over the web have been selling the 1005HA ASUS netbook for a wide variety of prices.  From scanning around on the web I’ve seen it priced from $379, $349, and even $329.

Then I strolled over to Best Buy (yup – I didn’t think it would do me any good either) and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they have several 1005HA netbooks from as low as $299 in black, white and pink.  They also sell it in Royal Blue, but that color is $349.

This may not sound like a big deal but you have to consider that you’re getting a netbook which is a step up from the 1001HE I’m currently using to write this post.

The 1005HA has the following features:

-Intel® Atom™ processor N270 (Features a 512KB cache and 1.6GHz processor speed)
-1GB DDR2 memory (expandable to 2GB.
-10.1″ widescreen LED display.
-160GB Serial ATA hard drive (5400 rpm)
-Built-in 1.3-megapixel webcam
-3 high-speed USB 2.0 ports
-Weighs 2.4 lbs. and measures just 1.4″ thin
-Up to 4 hours and 20 minutes to give you more time away from an outlet.
-Microsoft Windows XP Home operating system

Hey Brad - you're completely right - I'll be sure to update that!

    Thanks for stopping on by.
  • The $300 model at Best Buy is the 1005HAB. It has a 3 cell, 3-4 hour battery and lacks Bluetooth. It's not quite the same model you can find for $329 and up online. Best Buy also offers the 1005HA-VU1X-BU with a 6 cell, 8.5 hour battery on its website for $350.
