Dell Kills Mini 12 Netbook, Leaves No Evidence Of Crime
First they killed the female focus section of their site Della, then they killed the Mini 9, now Dell is back at it with a new victim – the Mini 12. If you check out Dell’s current lineup of netbooks you’ll find that the Mini 12 is no longer there. Don’t believe me? – Go and check it out for yourself.
This is pretty depressing because the Mini 12 was a great blend of size and value. For many people having a 12 inch screen made the internet more readable and prevented them from having to pan around on certain websites. It was hard calling it a netbook because of it’s size but Gizmodo loved its size when they reviewed it in Nov. 2008.
People looking to get their hands on a Mini 12 are left having to order one through Dell’s Outlet where they are available for as low as $309. What’s even weirder is that Dell is spending money on ads for people looking for the Mini 12 so it must have been so sudden that they didn’t realize they did it either. Does that make this a crime of blind passion?
