It was only a matter of time. You will now be able to buy a netbook in America for under $100. The deal is being ushered through Radio Shack who is teaming up with AT&T. If you sign up for a two-year contract you’ll be able to get an Acer Aspire One for $99.
AT&T Data Connect plans range from $19.99 all the way up to $139.99 depending on where and how much you plan on using it.
Even at the lowest level, you’ll end up paying $480 for service not including any fees which could add another 20 – 30% on top. This may be a great deal if you only go only to check email or do some occassional surfing. However if a netbook and data card was something you were already considering this may be the deal you’ve been looking for.
