Sprint To Team Up With Acer?

There is a lot of steam building around carrier subsidized netbooks.  It has the potential to be a revenue stream for cellphone carriers and a great way for people to get broadband without having to deal with the Comcast’s and Time Warner’s of the world.

Consider that Acer announce a version of their Aspire One with WiMax built in.

These events point to what looks like a partnership between Acer and Sprint’s 4G network.  While it’s hard to say if this kind of move would prevent the millions of people leaving to stay around for a while, but I’m sure the prospect of a $99 netbook is enough to attract people back.
