If you need a computer that’s thin and light, a netbook may be the perfect product choice. They are typically under 3lbs, with a screen size from 7 to 10 inches. They are powered by Intel Atom processors ranging from 1.33 to 1.6Ghz.

Walmart is a great store. In fact, with most of the US retail sector suffering Walmart is one of the few stores still growing. While this is true, they appear to have a problem on their website. Instead of having a section on their site for netbooks they call them min-laptops.

In Germany, T-Mobile does things differently than they do in the US. The wireless carrier is selling the Acer Aspire One netbook and the LG X110 netbooks tied to their “web ‘n’ walk” mobile broadband service.
The Aspire One is availabe for the low price of $1.

Back in August 2007, Acer bought Gateway. Three years earlier, Gateway purchased discount PC manufacturer eMachines. This gives Acer control of three powerhouse brands that have a lot of recognition in retail stores around the country and around the world.

The 1002HA is very similar to the S101, except it comes with a hard drive instead of a SSD drive. The 1002HA will come with the start netbook parts aside from that, 1.6Ghz Atom processor, 1GB RAM, and a chassis that’s a mix between the older 902HA and the newer S101.

The MSI Wind is felt by many to be one of the best netbooks you can get. The U100 with it’s 10 inch screen and 6 cell battery make it a great value.
