Asus 1002HA To Retail For $579.99
The good people at Netbook3G.com discovered that the Eee PC 1002HA has a MSRP of 449 Euros in France. This means it would retail for $579.99 if/when it goes on sale here in the states.
Also, it appears that there’s some controversy on what the size of the battery will be in the 1002HA. Originally it was thought the 1002HA would have the same battery as the S101. It turns out instead of the 4900 mAh battery that comes with the S101, it may ship with a 4200 mAh battery instead. This makes sense since the S101 is a higher end product. Asus may just be trying to skimp out here and save money on the battery to drive more profits. It remains to be see until it starts shipping stateside, but a great heads up for people tracking this model.
