Now that AMD has announced it’s Yukon platform, it has to decide to how to maximize their profit and their position. One way they’re considering approaching that end is to create graphic solutions to go with their processors.
AMD will use their purchase of ATI to focus on graphic cards for netbooks. Intel and Nvidia share the same target so ATI will have to come out strong and show a powerful solution that’s light on battery life to see success. Anything less and people will wonder why AMD spend all the money on ATI only to fall from grace and let Intel dominate.
