With 2009 on it’s way the time is approaching to start guessing what netbooks will look.  Since it’s a wishlist, many of the things are possible and might just happen the rest are more about hoping someone at Acer or Asus reads this blog.

2009 Predictions

-Dual core 2.0Ghz Atom processors with 1MB cache and 800Mhz front side bus

-2GB DDR2 Ram

-Intergrated 3G/WiMax standard with the option to use other services later

-64GB SSD or 320GB SATA Hard drive standard

-6 cell 4400 mah battery

-Windows 7

-LED screens, with higher end using OLED screens

-Price: $449 – $999

$200 computers are great for consumers but horrible for everyone else.  At $449 everyone is making enough margin to keep innovating and to make the rest of the things on the list come to life.  We’ll check back in 12 months to see how close this post is.
